Los Pájaros Call for Entry

The Pajaro Valley Arts Council is hosting Los Pájaros, an exhibition of bird themed art to celebrate the many birds from which the Pájaro Valley draws its name. It is timed to coincide with the Monterey Bay Birding Festival hosted by the City of Watsonville which draws people from around the U.S., England and Mexico. You are invited to submit bird themed works in all media, including, but not limited to, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, assemblage, and science illustration. Entries will be juried by Jane Gregorius and Susan Matulich.

You may submit up to three (3) entries for jurying via e mail to pvacbirds@yahoo.com no later than July 5th. Your e-mail should include your name, address, phone numbers, dimension and medium of each artwork in the e-mail. E-mailed jpgs should be no larger than 2”x3” and 150 dpi. Or you may also send jpegs, no larger than 4x6”, 300 dpi, on a CD to PVAC 37 Sudden St., Watsonville, CA 95076. These should be labeled with the artist’s name and include the title, dimension and medium of the work. There will be a $25 hanging fee if you are selected to participate. Insurance for the duration of the exhibit is a maximum of $2500 per piece.
